Car keeps draining my battery!!

Default Car keeps draining my battery!!

I changed the alternator 2 times already and it is still doing the same thing.. the car keeps running off of my battery.. also messed up my ECU!! can anybody tell me what the problem is??

how do you know that the car is draining the battery and that the alternator isn't doing its job? Do you have a multimeter that can read amperage, ohms and voltage? Maybe you should take your car into autozone to see if they can do an alternator check on it.

yea i think the alternator isnt doing its job.. but i checked the alternator and it still works! so i put in the alternator again and it is still draining battery.. I know that it is draining power out of the battery because it will run run until the battery is almost gone.. Any idea??

I have a volt meter.. what can that do for me right now??

yeah it's a good idea to manually charge your battery. How often do you drive your car? Do you do lots of city driving?

Check whether 7.5A dash fuse 15 is blown.

alright, i will get to that.. my speedometer was acting up weeks before this happened and now it doesnt work.. does this help a little??

This increases the emphasis on checking fuse 15, which protects not only the alternator circuit but also the VSS circuit. Click the Fuse 15 TSB in my signature.

can it simply be just the fuse being blown out or can it be a short too??

If fuse 15 is blown and it blows again after being replaced, then you have a short.

Will my speedometer work again after replacing the fuse 15?

Also, i couldn't rev pass 5 1/2.. is my ECU blown??

Test fuse 15 and go from there.

Yea, just switch the fuse and everything seems to be working fine.. thanks.. the only thing not working is my speedometer...
