I forgot, how can you tell if the battery needs to be replaced or if its the alternator that needs to be replaced? Thanks.

 

if you can start your car then your battery is fine...if your car slowly starts dieing after being on for a minute or less your alternator is probably dieing...

also when your car is on try disconnecting the negative terminal to your battery. if your car stays on and functions normally then your alternator is fine.
