95 Civic gas tank installed wrong? Fuel pump is too close.
Hey, I just replaced all of the hoses on my gas tank. It is on a 95 Civic EX 2dr. I also put new gas tank straps on. After getting the bottom end of the straps and hoses all tight, I got in the car to hook the fuel pump lines back up, but the lines were too long.
The fuel joint hose (fuel out of fuel pump) seems to be the same size, and I cut the fuel injection return hose (fuel back into tank) the same length as my old one, but both hoses seem to be about 2 inches too long.
Does anyone know if any of the fuel joint hoses are different lengths? I searched at Majestic, and it seemed like they all had the same part number.
Is there a way to install the tank wrong? I just lined it up with the tank straps and tightened it all up. If I did something wrong it must be an easy fix, but it seems like there is something else going on.
