94 honda civic dx idle problem
I'm having problems with my car when stopping or just letting it sit there and idle. Ive checked the electrics and there good, the previous owner put a short ram on and decided to take out the carburetor filter out so i have replaced that and covered a small gap in the top of the carburetor. Any ideas on what else it could be? And does anyone know where the idle control valve is located on this model? engine code is d13b2..ive also checked the short ram and cleaned the air filter for that aswell.
Duh so i was on the phone when i typed this my car keeps stalling because the revs are too low..and its not bouncing it idles at around 4-500 rpms
Heres a picture of my engine..where would the icv be if i have one? What else can i do to change my idle and clean out the intake system.

HOLLY CRAP!!!!!!! Never seen a 94 carbed.... It must be some sort of relic...lol... I don't think a carb would have an IACV... Have you checked your float level? Fuel filter?
also have you tried to adjust the idle? Should be pretty simple on a carb. I think it is just the throttle stop screw if I am not mistaken. Not completly sure about honda carbs but all other carbs I have seen adjust this way...
i changed the fuel filter today and still no change. Is the idle adjusting screw underneath the carb? I downloaded the manual and it seem like thats where there pointing to but i dont want to take it of if im reading the directions wrong
First off, hello. I'm new to the forum. Second, I'm sorry for reviving this thread, but in the image provided of a carb'd d13, what is that part on the upper left hand side of the engine valve cover with a red hose running towards the carb? Is that the fuel filter? I have a similar motor and was wondering If I could identify the piece before unplugging the hoses.
