Default LOW idle after cleaning IACV???

Well I finally got a chance to do some things things to my civic today.

1994 honda civic (d16z6)

I decided to clean the IACV along with plugs, thermostat, VC gasket and tube seals.

I got done put it all back together and it seems to idle around 450-500ish rpms. It doesent shut off on me or anything.

It runs alot better when im driving...and it seems to idle smoother, but it just idles a bit lower than before. Before it idled at about 650ish?????????????

Think i need to clean the FITV and adjust?

No. I just cleaned the IACV, installed new plugs, thermostat, VC gasket and spark plug seals.

I did not mess with the FITV or the idle screw.

Or does it just need to adjust to the fresh iacv?

could it be when you were putting the iacv back together you screwed the plastic peice that holds down the metal bullet looking thing to far? I've heard that can be a cause to low idle after cleaning. I dont think your supposed to screw it in all the way, atleast i didnt and mine idles perfect.

my lx did a similar thing last week after i got it smogged and cleaned. It would hover around 5-600 for 2 days but after a few days of driving around it returned to 1000ish

how long has it been doing this, if not long give it a few days if you see no change then you may have a bigger issue.

I think you're talking about the FITV not the IACV. Here's the idle relearn procedure:

Yeah dude just loosen the idle screw(lefty loosey righty tighty) so a little bit more gas can flow through because it had different readings with your dirty iacv.
