92 D16 Low/bad Idle - HELP!!
Hey Honda Tech..
I have a 92 civic with a D16 turbo. Built motor, 9lbs boost, Hondata s300 engine management.
My idle has been very low, and fluctuating.
I am not sure what to do....
Today I took off the IACV, FITV, and throttle body, i cleaned them all really good with a tooth brush, rags, and carb cleaner. and put everything back on. It didnt change the idle at all! i dont know what to do anymore and am getting frustrated.
Vid - sorry really shitty.

Vacuum - when i open the throttle, vacuum drops, and when i close the throttle it dips down.... This is also proportional to my RPM dipping down almost to 0 at the same time.

Low idle - Car was warmed up for 10 min, throttle was untouched.

Idle after a drive

Can anyone shed some light on what i can do to fix my idle??

what does the ignition system look like? when were the spark plugs, plug wires, cap and rotor last replaced? have you tried setting the base idle and timing yet?
No I havent tried setting base idle yet. How do you go about that?
you know my 93 civic si was going the same thing so i just adjust the throttle cable and it pritty much fixed it for the most part it still does it after it warms up sometimes not very often but also i have heard that not having your coolent lines right would cause a bad idle

Fixed it! Had to adjust the throttle body stopper screw a bit.
idle is About 800rpm and steady now!
here is what I did. Grabbed a 7mm socket/wrench, unplug IACV, tighten up the TB stopper a bit, till revs were about 700. Plug back in IACV. Turn off car. Unplug battery for 10 sec to reset the ****.
And it works! My idle seems really good.
Thanks for all the input guys!
