o2 sensor simulator wiring help?
I have a 97 LX, d16y7. Since I bought it there has been a CEL (code 65). I got a o2 sim, wired it as follows:
Red (12v aux) to ign power on fuse box
Yellow (signal) to D14 (wht/red 2nd o2 sensor)
Green (ground) to D13 (red/yel 2nd o2 sensor ground)
white(heater)\
\
to A5 (secondary o2 heater control)
/
white(heater)/
Directions state:
Red to aux power
Yellow to signal
Green to signal ground
white to + heater
white to - heater
As far as I can tell, there is only 1 heater control wire on the ECU, so I joined both white wires to the same A5 heater control. Still throwing the CEL though. I cleared the ECU, (disconnected battery for 5 min) CEL was off for about a second, then came back on. Disconnected the battery for 30 min, tried again, same thing.
Any suggestions?
If this were a primary o2 i'd just buy a new o2 sensor, but the secondary is basically useless, and soon I won't be running a cat (temporarily) so basically I just want to get rid of the annoying yellow CEL, so I can know when something worth while is wrong with my car.
Thanks H-T.
PS: This is the wiring schematic I used:
