i have a d16z6 and dont have a lower timing belt cover i was hoping someone on here could help me find a replacement one that fits and is accurate. (meaning it will show me the right TDC markings and all that) i was thinking d16 y7 y8 but im not 100% sure and would like a confirmation

 

D16Z1/D15Z1/JDM D15B Vtec/JDM SOHC Vtec ZC should all work IIRC. Y7/Y8 are different because of the CKF sensor on those engines (Y8 timing is also different but I think it's the marks on the crank pulley that are different.

 

i know the 96-00y-series run at a 12TDC base timing and 88-95 16TDC but im sure the z1 block is different: also i think its only on the cam gear? not crank timing different or am i wrong as for the CKF sensor i believe its a cutout but not 100% sure either. i think they all have same deck height?

 

Y7s are B16° BTC. It's just Y8s that are 12° Z1 block is different but the timing cover is the same, part number: 11811-P08-010 COVER, TIMING BELT (LOWER) for both D16Z6/D15Z1.

 

so 11811-P2A-000 is for the y7 does that mean they are the same?

 

No, I worded my post poorly, I meant the Z6 and Z1 share the same cover. Y7/Y8 is definitely different.

 

oh well i only ask because im gettin a y7 cover for free for my built block so i will try that if it doesnt work ill look for a z1 thanks for help sir //// thread
