98 Ek Turbo build... Forged or oem engine internals??
Hey,
I'm in the midst of planning a turbo build for my 1998 ek, I have decided that im gonna go ahead with the build, swapping from obd 2 to obd 1 using the harness adapters after i've run it through aircare, i'm looking to push anywhere from 250 - 325 hp out of my car. Should I build a forged engine or stock engine? I have a d16y7 right now so what bottom end and head should i use also? Please help!!

I'm pretty sure 250 hp is pushing it for the stock bottom end on a d16. You might also think about doing a mini-me vtec swap for the extra couple hp. its pretty easy.
Definitely get forged internals for a single if you wanna push that much hp safely. You could get a stock b series swap to that hp without building it with a good tune.
I've been told that vitara pistons are aluminum forged and have been used in d series builds would those suffice? And any suggestions for bottom end and rods?
Vitaras are good pistons for d series turbo builds but you will have to get custom rods that are lengthened, so that your compression isnt super low. 250 isnt that hard to acheive with a good built and tuned d.
