ive got an eg8 with a d15b7 block and a d16y8 head, currently has the stock obd1 ecu in it, and it wont start, i have no spark and no fuel. im suspecting the crank signal because i may have the wrong distributor for that setup. i think im using the b7 distributor but i honestly dont remember which one i put in and i dont know which ones which. i also have a p28 ecu that i was planning on using when i get it running so vtec will work.

can anyone tell me what the right distributor for this setup is, and how to check for crank signal to the ecu?

 

Is the G101 ground that attaches to the thermostat housing connected?

 

the ground on the thermostat housing is connected, has like 5 wires, cant confirm if it is the g101, my haynes doesnt go to 93 civic.

 

Is 15A hood fuse 31 or 15A dash 24 blown?

 

yeah thats the ground, and both fuses are good.

 

How do you know the fuses are good?

 

test light.

 

Good. So you found voltage on both top test tabs of the installed fuses?

When you turn the key to ON(II), do the dash warning lights come on? Does the CEL remain on steady?

 

cel stays on after the bulb check, yes.

 

Resolder the main relay.
