Just got a chipped( not going to mention name out of respect for a vendor)ecu
See if some of you guys can point me in the right direction or the sponsor on here for said company.
I've been running a stock jdm p13 ecu since i got the car(h22a swap in a 99 cx). Only codes i get are a iab and egr. It takes alittle bit of driving before these even come up. Car pulls strong with this ecu, just seems alittle rich. Also falls out of vtec on the 1/2 shift.
I put in the chipped ecu today. The idle is surging and then throws a iacv cel. Anything under part throttle below 2k and it surges. When i accelerate and let off it jerks and does the same when i get back on the accelerator. After 6k it feels like the power band just plateaus.
I used the same spot far as distance and ran both computers. The chipped one ran about 75/6 mph and the p13 ran 80 mph( even though it falls out of vtec).
Could the p13 have been chipped? Could the tps voltage be incorrect?
Any info would be helpful.

The P13 can be chipped, so you may want to check. Either way a basemap isn't going to get you perfect... but tuning will.
talked to said vendor. He thinks the iacv driver may have failed. The rest he doesn't know till he gets the ecu back..
Thanks vendor for the phone call.

... As far as the power falling off on the top end, you still should have your car tuned. A basemap is just that, a BASEmap.
I have had to repair a few IACV circuits in the past, they generally go bad when you mix up the IACV/EVAP/IAT plugs.
It usually fries two of the resistors and the transistor right above it and is generally a simple fix.

My car is running off a stock p13 ecu. Only has intake and exhaust. The basemap shouldn't be that much different from the p13, so i wasn't worried about running it hard.
The p13 doesn't show the iacv cel.

The basemap would be very different from the P13, as the P13 maps don't transfer over to other platforms.
