Default i got a problem with my swap....!

i just made a swap B16a2 into a 95 civic dx 4 door. the engine is running, but when i get 4200 rpm's the car make like is in redline already, and i have too much black smoke from the exhaust, and the check engine light is on. i wanna know whats wrong....a got a p28 ecu, and i already made the VTEC connection but with my car running 'til 4200 rpm's i can't figure it out if Vtec is working well or not. please somebody help me out. thanks and appreciate.

HEY MAN LISTEN TRY TO CHIP YOUR P28 ECU BECAUSE A P28 IS MENT TO BE FOR A SOHC VTEC NOT A DOHC VTEC SO TRY THAT OK......

STOP YELLING.

And this isnt an ECU issue. (well one that will not be solved by simply "chipping")
Its gotta do with his timing or wiring.
Ive ran a B16 with a virgin P28 before. Never redlined at 4200 like what he is describing. (My B16 was never taken high though since we were waiting on a P30 ECU)

what type of "chip" do you have?

Maybe the "chip" is the problem?

the guy that sold to me the ecu he tried before on his car, but was running perfect. when i made the swap, i had to change the plugs of the distributor and the alternator. i don't know but i think that the problem could be on the distributor connection that i made....

It's running in limp mode that's why you're not able to pass that certain rpm. jump your ecu and tell me what code you're throwing and then we'll all figure out the problem for ya'
