This happen to my eg6 cluster so I pulled the need off, pulled the face plate and with a tooth pick or small flat head screw drive roll it to the next set of numbers so mine was stuck a 39,999KM-between 40,000KM after that drove around and it was fine.

Push the maintenance reset button with your key and the trip button at the same time.

Looks like who ever had it last tried to roll back the miles.

Remove the speedo from the housing and check behind it. Use a small flathead to pry the metal bar from the clip closest to the "lower mileage" numbers behind the odo. Make sure all the small gears are lined up properly along with the numbers in the front. Then push back the metal bar

the way the digits appear......the speedo looks like it was "turned" back. Anyone else agree?

Now that you mention it, they do. I just assumed they were stuck.

Yea... When you pry off the needle place something underneath the screwdriver (( or whatever you're going to use to pull the needle off )) so that you don't scratch the face of your speedometer. A piece of paper works.

You don't need to pry the needle off.

OP: Read my directions above. PM if you have any questions.

ummmm ya dont listen to these people about pulling the needle off !!!!!!!!!!! whoever you got the cluster off of most diffenetly tried to roll the miles back ...... there is 4 tiny phillips screws on the back of the odometer take the plastic covers off undo the screws and that will remove the odometer and u can inspect it to see why it is not working
