Default SI cluster MPH messed up

ok so i have a 99 civic EX and i jus got a SI cluster i was able to match up the miles and get everything all set up...but when i put it in my car and started it up the MPH needle jumped to 25mph and stayed there! aside from that the cluster works fine the MPH needle does move and seems to give an accurate reading of the mileage aside from the fact that it is 25 over...does anyone know how to fix this problem so it stays at 0?!?!

ooh yeah when i shut the car off the needle drops back down to 0. thanks for any help!

i have been doing some thinking and i am going to install the cluster without the clear plastic shield over it so i can touch the needles and then the car starts and the needle jumps to 25 i was jus going to push the needle back down to 0 and hope that it will stay there. can i do any damage doing this??

Did you pull the needle off? If so, you didn't place it on in the right spot. Remove the needle, turn the car on to the IGN position, and set the needle on the stop pin.

Place the needle slightly below the stop pin. Then pull it up slightly over the pin to let it rest on top of it.
