Soooooo

Now I have the motor for it. I could just keep the motor in it and fix the headgasket...especially because I need the car now to drive. The z6 I have for it is awaiting a dizzy and ecu. As far as the harness I'm guessing I could just get a harness for the z6 and swap it right in?? or add wires to current harness??

I also want a nice body kit, wheels and suspension. This car will be my beater so im not looking to do a b series swap esp when I already have a motor. And i will be putting alot of miles on it as well.

SO it's a swap question. Sorry. The title of the thread wasn't specific and the second post popped up before mine.

OP check the FAQs for links concerning swaps.

Sorry lol I didn't know what I wanted when I made the thread. So I'm just really entitling off my plans amd getting opinions, I have a z6 amd I'm thinking of doing a frankenstein swap vs putting in the motor. Next anther haber any tips our tricks gift getting the head off?

Edit: another question...will a compression test accurately diagnos a faulty head gasket?

Update!!!

I was just looking for opinoins. Im gonna come up with something soon. I went through the FAQ and really like the idea of decking the head and using a thinner headgasket for higher compression witht the stock motor.

Today me and my buddy started to tackle the head gasket. Took a lil over a hour because we lost the 12 socket in 1/2" and 3/8 lol so we wrenched it most of the time. Gonna decide what im gonna do soon. Thinking I may just save the z6 for my ef. Onto the pics.

Monday I will figure out my plans and take it to the machine shop.
