ive never pulled distributor off before...
is it just removing bolts and replace or does it have to go back on a certain way?

Where is it leaking from? Is it leaking from around the distributor or inside the distributor you really need to remove the cap to tell if oil is on the inside of the cap = bad distributor seal. oil only on the outside distributor O-ring/ bad valve cover gasket. the distributor only goes in one way it is keyed. I have used a marker to mark where it lines up befor taking off the distributor.

I've been fighting with the two distributor harness connectors. Which one do I press in on and which one do I pull out on the locking tab thing?

Pull out on the lack tab and remove the connector off the metal braket, then you can squeeze the on the other tab and you can unplug the distributor.

OK. I pulled on metal spring tab so the connector comes off the bracket.
Then press on the plastic connector tabs so the connectors come apart? There's a large and a small gray one. They don't want to come apart yet.

Both tabs are plastic, the one to remove it from the bracket you have pull out, the plugs wont unplug as long as they are on the bracket.

Aha. Pull connector off bracket FIRST.
And the harness wires are so short, when I did it once before, I couldn't separate them till after I got the dizzy off the engine. Then I had some slack in the wires to work with.
