OP: IACV and FITV (depending on year model) are common source of problems. Before u spend $250 on a new one, take yours out, clean it with brake cleaner or similar item. let it dry completely. put it back on and see if that helps. Similarly, if you are close to a junkyard, finding a used one and cleaning it can be a solution that will cost u less than buying a new one. If all fails, then suck it up and get OEM one.

good luck! Tons of DIY on the net for how to replace/clean IACV or FITV causing idle surge

They get dirty, especially if your car was/is running rich for some reason. Take it off and clean it with carb cleaner.

There's more than one IACV code. Which do you have? An IACV code does not necessarily indicate an IACV problem.

An IACV or IAT code would not prevent the engine from running. Is this a no-crank or no-start problem? If the starter cranks the engine, do you have spark and fuel?

Again, what was the specific CEL code? No CEL codes specifically indicate an IACV failure. Some indicate a problem in the IACV circuit (IACV, wires, or ECU) while others may indicate a bad IACV, vacuum leak, bad ECT/circuit, bad TPS/circuit, or a misadjusted idle speed.

Is spark bright white at all 4 spark plugs? Do you hear the fuel pump prime?

Check whether the IACV plug gets battery voltage and also whether the IACV wires have a short or open. If all this is fine, then the ECU may be bad.

If spark is bright white and the fuel injectors spray fuel, then check the mechanical timing.
