Building for 700+WHP sleeved block?
first honda build, so want it right,
looking into purchasing a sleeved block for a Turbo b18 build.
goal is around 750+ whp
many different to choose from,
what sleeves do u have, who fitted and are they open or closed deck?
also what is the stock ignition good for?

Sleeving the block for the most part makes it a closed deck, in my case i have g.e. sleeves. As far as ignition goes my friends car made 630whp with stock wires , a msd blaster coil and Ngk Iridiums, anymore and it was breaking up. If you're trying to run plugs and wires rather than a coil on plug setup id say look into getting a M&W Pro10 setup.

golden eagle sleeves 35+lbs 730hp completly stock ignition lol, works but i wouldnt suggest it. i was in a pinch when my crane box took a **** i got my plugs gapped pretty tight and it runs great doesnt break up at all. i would imagine on that kind of power the stock dizzy and coil wont last long at all though.
edit... it made 730 on the dynojet at high altitude corrected on 30ish lbs of boost. it did get turned up at the track to 35-40 im not sure i ran out of map need to reup with a 4 or 5 bar.

true street allows you to run aftermarket blocks...so add a dart block to your list...close deck..billet main caps..machines truer than any sleeve block and cost of replacement sleeves is like 300 from dart if u ever **** one up...you can choose to run or plug oil squirters....the bad you cant o-ring it...and initial cost is higher after all machining is done..
