It depends how far down that chunk and/or crack is.

Dan has a website now, bensonsmachine dot com if you would like to get a hold of him.

gonna call him tomorrow the pic shows the crack is down pretty deep , but the top part is actualy where the chunks broke off. i have everything new except for pistons . i have also decided to go with a 84 mm bore and precision 60/1 turbo or possibly a little bigger .

That portion of the factory sleeves are removed to accept the new iron sleeves. It just depends on how far down that chunk and crack goes. I would assume that Dan will ask you how far that crack and chunk go down, so you may want to take some measurements before hand.

just buy another short block. they are cheap these day. you can find one for $100 or less.

how much power you were making . 12psi doesnt really mean anything

hp goal is between 500 and 700 on 93 pump gas with meth injection kit . on the tear down the block was going to be sent to dan benson regardless because in order to achieve this goal i will have to have the block sleeved . evrything else has been bought internally . now for the sleeve process.

You probably don't want to push past 600 whp on pump/meth combo. C16 is your best bet if you are looking 700. Just a thought.

Your block should be able to be sleeved.

If you don't have a budget, than sleeving is the way to go. You can go bigger like you stated and your engine block will be able to withstand higher boost.

BUT, if you're on a tight budget, you can purchase a working LS Core for around $300.00 or so, like komat posted.
