Default Symptoms of bad/failing/sticking injectors? (RC Engineering)

I've got RC550 that came with my supercharger kit (on car in sig). Ever since I installed the kit I have been getting P0172 (Too Rich). This is in a MAF system, so first thing I did was make sure everything is sealed up tight. I boost leak tested up to 15 PSI holding, which is more then I am running. I replaced the MAF, the O2 sensor, spark plugs (gapped to about 0.032" I think).

The car idles and runs at low throttle pretty good, and at full throttle it seems to run pretty good. But anywhere between about 40% and 80% throttle the car wants to stumble...usually the first couple seconds of moderate throttle are fine, but then you can feel the power start to faulter. The ECU has a custom flash, but there are a couple hundred people running this flash and I did send it back to get reflashed just in case.

Engines are pretty simple. Suck, Squeesh, Bang, Blow. The only things I can think of now are the injectors or the maybe the ignition. But this started with the supercharger install and the injectors were part of that install.

I am gonna box up the injectors tommorow and send them out to RC to have them do the cleaning/measuring service to make sure they are ok.

Gap the plugs tighter, .032 is a bit wide for forced induction. Gap them down to .025-.028

Get the dang thing dyno tuned, not a "custom ECU flash." Every engine is different and one generic tune wont work the same for every one. Cruising, idle, and full throttle are the easier parts to tune. Part throttle is where you're going to run into issues with generic tunes. I'm not familiar with the Exige but I believe thats a Toyota engine? Wish I could help more as far as figuring out engine management options. Here's something I found though, maybe you could get some ideas: http://www.renntrack.com/forums/show...-Exige&p=12822

You're running forced induction and you dont have a wideband? I also think its the tune.

Where did I imply I wasn't using wideband? It's a custom flash in the sense that its not the stock fuel map...but there are literally a couple hundred ppl using this same map. And none of them have reported partially throttle issues. Anyway injectors went out today for checking.

if you have a wideband, what are your AFR's part throttle, WOT, cruising, idle etc? Are they steady or fluctuating?

Because you didnt mention the AFR... So I assumed that you did not have a wideband. If my assumption is wrong please include that information as it would help us troubleshoot your problem.

It could be injectors..... When injectors are not matched dynamically you be surprised the discrepancies between them at times. I would also be careful of e-tunes that were not done by sending you cars logs and tuning for your specific vehicle. They are typically very conservative to cover a broad dynamic of vehicles and locations. Hopefully its a simple fix though.

What kind of engine is it?

If you can't get it sorted, you're welcome to consult with us about a tune or diagnosing the car(since we are "fairly close") so you can get about with having fun with the car.

As a follow up, got injectors balanced and on yall's recomendation lowered gap from 0.032 to 0.028". Car seems to be running real good at partial throttle now. Went up to about 60% throttle in 4th,5th,6th and felt no hesitation. Will have to drive more, but looking good so far.
