Is it bad to run without pintal caps on injectors?
I was installing some DSM 450 blue tops this weekend and notice that all the pintal caps where cracked and damaged, so I took them off. I popped in the injectors with filetofit's circuit and tried them out. It ran real good, so I figure that nothing is wrong with doing this other than not having anything to shield the spray nozzle.
Is it OK to run like this?
By the way, my car is still N/A until I install the turbo (got all the parts, but not feeling up to installing) and with the injectors and the circuit it runs better than with stock injectors. And the tune ability from idle and wot/part throttle is very easy and fun to do in the cockpit.
I was able to hang with a camaro ss on the highway while I was test running the fuel setup all the way up to 95MPH. He heard me floor it and we were off. He did not gain anything all the way up from 40 to 95.
