Default B20 VTEC Fresh Build on base map (Incredibly Rich)

I have a B20 VTEC in my EG Hatch that has roughly 20 miles on it. I am on a Chrome base map and the car runs an idles good, except until it warms up the excess amount of fuel fouls out the plugs and causes a miss until its warm. I didnt notice it doing this until yesterday when i saw black specs coming out of my exhaust when it was cold. I then took it around the block and it started missing until it warmed up. I know i need to get a final tune, but i am on the basemap because I needed something for the first start.

My setup is:
chipped p28 on chrome
Jdm B20b block
.20 over
Ross Racing 84.5mm 9:1 compression pistons
eagle rods
thick cometic HG
b16a SiR II head ported
01 ITR cams
ITR intake manifold and 68mm tb
supertech valves with 3 angle
viton valve seals
stock header with a test pipe and ws2 catback

I am not sure what my tuner went off of to create my base map but it runs pig rich and I want to break it in NA before it sees boost. I asked him why he thought it was running so rich and he told me the low compression (9:1) is the reason why its running so rich. Does anyone think my issue will clear up with a tune?

Your issue must be diagnosed in person by an experienced tuner.
Your issue maybe the basemap, an electrical issue or mechanical issue etc.

Just because your c/r is 9:1 and he provided a basemap for something with more compression, the car shouldn't run off the charts rich.

i am assuming that it is running rich though because I can see what looks to be unburnt fuel coming out of my exhaust on cold starts and under WOT it smells very rich

Here is a quick list of things I would point to:
1. Intake air temp sensor is faulty/plugged into the wrong 2 wire plug causing it to have melted etc.
2. Your timing belt is not setup at tdc
3. Your basemap is not right for your setup

Good luck!

my intake air temp sensor is brand new and plugged in correct, my timing is DEAD on, and my basemap is most likely crap

what was the problem? What spark plugs are you using and what gap they are set at and what gas did you tune it on?
