Default intermittent car runs with no battery voltage.

i figured the people in this section may be a little more familiar with electrical problems.

92 civic hatch with 96 gsr swap (obd-1 harness)

with the car off i have 12.6V at battery.
with car running normally i have 14.4V at the battery.
with the car running like **** (very rich AFR) I HAVE NO VOLTAGE AT THE BATTERY.

is this a faulty alternator or voltage 'regulator' i believe its called?

LMK please

You metered on the battery terminals themselves, and read 0v+?

If you metered on the actual terminals of the battery, and not just on the cables, take off the positve lead coming from the alternator, and meter just that lead with the car running. (leave the postive wire that goes to the car hooked up. Don't run it too long like this, it'll wear your battery really quick.) Make sure that positive lead from the alternator can't ground out though, be really careful... What do you get from the alternator? Make sure your black lead on your meter is on the (-) battery terminal when you get your reading...
