installing tach
hey my friend had a 93 prelude with the 2.2 vtec motor. he wants to put a tachometer in his car, an autometer one, but i cant find the wire that you use to hook up to the tach. on my civic its the dyagnosic tach wire on the drivers fender well. is the prelude the same? any info would be greatly appreciated thanks
I use the blue capped wire for my shift light (autometer) and it not as acurate at high RPM. Or does that mean that my stock tach is not accurate. For like 7400 on my stock tach, I need to use the 7000 RPM pill just to turn on a 7400 also. Whats that all about.
I'm not sure which one is acurate. Because I have hit the fuel cut off at the right RPM on my stock tach. I'm thinking that the blue cap tach out put is not acurate, I'm thinking that it is only use for low RPM read outs. But I don't know which wire to hook it up to on the external coil.
