Tach on EG

Tach on EG
I bought a tach this weekend, it is a autometer sport comp, and i couldent figure out where the wire that gives the tach its info goes to. i have tried different place on the wiring harnesses, but the all make the tach read really low
I have a 1992 Civic CX HB

here is the instructions on your tach... read everything it shows you how to hook it up and the tach signal on the gauge is the solid blue wired pictured above ..
and make sure the tach is set for 4 cylinders , instructions show you what to do..

Thanks for all your help it works just fine now.
When I bought the tach it didnt come with instructions, so i didnt know how to hook it up.
I also didnt clip the two wires in the back, so thats why it didnt work
