Default I have a few questions about adding keyless and auto start into 98 civic.

Car is a 98 civic dx auto
Alarm is a clifford Matrix 3.3x, 2 way

This is what i have so far and im wondering if it is correct.

This is off the 10pin(h3)

Red, Red/black and Red/white go to the white 12volt+ in car, on igntion harness
All three on the same wire??
The Orange will go to the yellow ignition wire in car.

Off 5 pin
Blue/white-dont need (rs in)
Gray-hood pin
brown- brake goes to Green/white in car
Violet/white- Tach wire
Black/white- Ground

As for the keyless can i just splice the green and blue coming from the brain to 2 actuators?

Thanks, i did post this in the security section, however it takes a long time to get a answer.

Try moving over to audio/video/security section, those guys in that section are very knowledgable and should be able to help you out.

I figured you did.

I am in the same boat, adding remote start/keyless entry to my wifes 99 Civic LX auto, but using a different system.

Good luck with finding your answers.

can't find an installation guide for the particular alarm you are using so i'm not sure on where your wires should go.

i can tell you that the green and blue wires for the door locks from the brain cannot go straight to the actuators. these wires use a negative pulse to trigger either a factory or aftermarket power door lock relay.

all i can find are viper product install guides, and they don't appear to have the same wiring as what you've got. i've searched high and low and can't find a single install guide for a clifford matrix alarm system. i read somewhere that the dealers only give out guides and not the install manuals because they only want certified shops to install the alarms, not people to do it themselves. dunno how true that is or not, all i know is i can't find bupkis

Thanks for looking sir.
I have looked and find anything, and no one seems to know for sure.

Someone pointed out to me I can use a dei 451M for my door locks instead of 2 relays.

yes you can go either route

micro relay

or 2 SPDT 5-wire relays

and even 4 4-wire SPST relays, if you just happen to have a lot of them laying around lol

Ok, thanks for posting that, honestly I think im just going to get the dei 451M and go that route.

Talked to both car toys and clifford and they were no help, besides car toys wanting 300 for remote start

ok, so i just got the dei 451M, and the instructions it comes with it is kind of confusing.
just to make sure i have this right.

Violet and violet/black go to 12 volt source. 15 amp fuse, both turn into one wire
ground is white/black and brown/black
Blue/Black and Green/black to actuators

And then the 3 pin with Red,green/blue plugs into the spot on the brain for the keyles

Is this right??

And about the remote start, they all just crimp onto the white or is the a certain way to connect them?

Thanks for the help, im headed out to my car right now to start installing everything.

sounds like you've got it right for the 451m.

not sure what you're asking in regards to the remote start

Actuators are in and working correctly, but they don't fit. I'll need smaller ones.

In regards to the autostart, someone told me all the red wires go to the white wire in the ingnition harness.
Just trying to confrim.

Yes; Google does. You have not done enough research to warrant asking this very vague question. Thread closed.
