Default Terrible engine whine after sub/amp install.. HELP!

I installed a single ten in my ITR. I ran the power wire down the right side under the sill and under the ECU. The RCA's, RF Cable for changer, and switch wire for amp are ran down the center of the car under the console. I did the same thing in my GSR Sedan and had no problems at all.. In the ITR I have very bad engine whine coming from the sub. PLEASE help! Any assistance is greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance..

Normally, sub woofer installs shouldn't reproduce engine noise.
Check the crossover in the amp and make sure it is in low pass mode.

fixed. thanks.
Where did you ground it too? Did you switch the ground wires near the headunit as well, or just the amp?

I grounded the amp to the rear crossmember under the seat. It was not the ground that was causing the whine, it was the damn amplifier. I had the X-over on hi-pass instead of low-pass. Pressed one button and fixed the entire problem. I was mad too, since I could have saved about 3 hours of work.
