I've got a fresh fully built h23 block for sale if you're interested. It has only seen a few heat cycles for the dyno. Just sold the head so I'm left with the block.

Golden Eagle block 89mm
Endyn Roller Wave pistons
Crower rods
balancer shaft kit
Moroso oil pan
Golden eagle sandwich tapped for oil pressure and oil feed.
SS hoses return and feed.

What other mods did the engine have? i calculate 27.2 more hp from stock engine power but for the lobe profiles wouldn't it need more head breathing too?

Easiest way to increase the power of the H23 is to subtract 0.1L.

Reving that high would be unpractical in an h23a1 with the stock crank...never take it past stock redline unless you get your crank balanced to handle it...well tleast the h23 cant speak for all motors

Agreed to a certain point. I had my h23 tuned to a 7200 redline, 7400 rev limit and it made a noticeable amount of power top end stock. I definitely wouldn't rev it past that though because of what lobesex stated.

But, are you turboing or going n/a high comp? If your going n/a, honestly id just do an h22 swap and sell the h23. Much better platform to start off with as the h22 has a longer stroke, higher compression, vtec and is made to rev high. If you turbo, sticking with the h23 would be ok. H23 really isnt the best thing for an all motor setup..

If you turbo the h23, u can keep it stock but dont go over 7 pounds on a t3/t4, i know some who run on 10 pounds and are fine but.. i like to play it safe so the motor lasts a while and you get the most fun out of it. the horsepower gain for 3 extra pounds on stock motor isn't worth the extra strain it puts on the motor.

Those cams are .420 lift and about 220 duration. Seems streetable. I dont think its power "until" 8600. How about power "up to" 8600 rpm. But I wouldnt rev past 6800 in a stock H23. You get an extra 40 horsepower with a stock H22.
