Default H22a4 issues please help

Ok I bought a 98 prelude in April and it ran great until I took a 13 hr drive.. The motor was rebuilt about 4k ago it seems 2 b running rich loss of power /compression.. The guy I bought it from was running 120 shot nitrous on it..i kno 2 much.. I had him take that nos n **** out.. But it's still tuned for nitrious ..
Mods
skunk2 pro1 cams
s2 cam gears
s2 manifold
type s pistons
eagle rods
ac fuel rail
550 injectors
255 lph fuel pump
arp studs
7 qt oil pan
intake header exhaust
hondata s300

It doesn't run right n need 2 check compression.. I'm asking for some advise
is it running like **** because I'm burning 2 much fuel?? Would r this cause low compression or burn oil?? Need help n appreciate any feedback..

alright im not a honda genius but i know for a fact, honda or any type of internal combustion engine, that if your running rich its not going to lower your compression
for that to happen something along the lines of a valve seat, bent valve, bad headgasket or valve cover, uhh or something like the compression rings would have to be bad
as for burning oil that could be caused by something like a valve guide, seat, etc.
and if its been tuned for nitrous oxide then i think, dont quote me on this
but i believe you will need it retuned since youre not running it, like new maps and such

this is all i can think of to say at the moment

I kno for a fact that I need 2 retune it.. And it smokes but it's not visible while it's running.. But the bumper is black n you can smell it.. I haven't checked the compression yet like I said but bad piston rings?? If this were the case wouldn't I b getting a obvious cloud of smoke.. I hope this isn't the prob but it would make sense with the lack of power n all..I dnt drive it much now n haven't engaged vtec 4 a while but I do feel a loss at low range rpm

loss of low end power
well i know the iab only opens 4 runners until a certain rpm for low end power so if your iab isnt working properly and is constantly open then that can cause a low end power loss
also another thing id look at is your ignition timing
so basically do a compression check, cylinder leakdown test and you should be able to pinpoint any internal problems
if there are no internal engine problems id go further into it, a bad signal to a o2 sensor can even cause it to run rich
there's so many possibilities but this is all i really know to say, im not a honda expert so i wouldnt really know what else to tell ya
good luck man

preludes run rich to begin with. you need to retune it, do a leakdown and compression test before you do anything else and go from there. if he was running 120 shot he seriously coulda ****ed that engine bad

As long as it was tuned right the 120 shot shouldn't have done any damage. He went with the s300 so at least he was spending some money and not trying to skimp everywhere, he hopefully at least got a some baseline dyno time on it.

As mentioned, do a compression and leakdown test to determine what the overall health of the engine is. As soon as you've determined the engine is worth working on, get it tuned. It should only be running significantly rich where the map was programmed to add additional fuel for n2o, which my guess would be either under wot, or switch activated.

yea thats what i figured hed needretuned and such
and idk whats wrong with your lude but mine never ran rich
it was completely stock when i bought it with 90,000 mi
we dynoed it with a wideband o2 sensor, no signs of running rich
maybe im just lucky?
