What causes some cylinders to run hotter than others???
So a few months ago my bone stock GSR burnt an exhaust valve in cyl #1 due to unknown reasons, fixed that and it's back in the road again.
I recently bought a header for it and I know it's supposed to changed colors due to the heat but I noticed that cyl 1 and 2 are noticibly hotter than the rest, do you think it could be injectors? Fuel rail? I got a new fuel filter and have ran fuel system cleaner through it already.
I don't know why it's heating unevenly...
I don't want to burn another valve now...

Injectors - perhaps two are running leaner than the other two
Valve adjustment - perhaps valves are tighter or looser on two cylinders than the others
Compression - if two cylinders are lower on compression then certainly the other two will burn at different temps
I think if it were the fuel rail itself the issue would be apparent on all 4 cylinders, but it seems to me that you've got an issue with only two of them.
When you fixed the burnt valve EXACTLY what did you do to fix it?

Whoa good info thanks man.
Well I have a wideband and CROME so before I had kinda an aggressive afr tune (14:1 wot) so that prolly did it (even though it happened while just cruising on the highway). So after I replaced the valves I changed my tune to 13.5:1.
Valve lash is in spec, compression is 240 psi across the board.

This might seem retarded, but do you have working A/C? Does the A/c consendor fan motor work, and does it run regularly, as in, have you been running A/C at all?
Reason I ask, and this is along shot, is that your main cooling fan has an almost direct flow to the number 3 and 4 runners/pipes on that header, and if they stay cooler because the main fan cycles a lot more than the A/C fan they might just be staying cooler from the extra airflow at times when the fan runs.
If the A/C works and you've been running it a lot, and the A/C fan runs a lot then forget I ever mentioned this.

Haha yeah I can see how someone can overlook that but yeah I have a/c and yes the condensor fan works, I use a/c everyday lol.
I don't really know what I can do to fix this uneven heating issue.
I have newer injectors so I'll start with that, next will be ANOTHER valve lash adjustment just in case.
Thanks man.
