I HAD A CHECKLIGHT WHICH SAID I HAD A BAD THROTTLE BODY SENSOR... I CHANGED THE TPS SENSOR AND FOLLOWED THE INSTRUCTIONS TO SET IT BACK TO .45VDC.....MY CHECKLIGHT WAS CLEARED WILL ALEAST I THOUGHT SO UNTIL IT CAME BAC UP AFTER 15MINS OF IDLING.....THE CHECKLIGHT NOW READS I HAV A BAD VSS SPEED SENSOR........BUT MY RPM AND SPEEDO GUAGES WORK FINE.......DO ANYONE KNOW WHAT IS GOING ON

 

Does it have water or anything around it? Did you disconnect it?

 

Check the VSS plug and then clear the code to see whether it returns.

 

i did that still comes up....question my engine body is grounded to the car frame......but do the transmission need to be grounded..

 

It needs 3 grounds, tranny, motor and the one that goes on the thermostat.

Now that we got that out of the way make sure your engine is grounded correctly. Also check the VSS plug for any abnormalities such as exposed wires or something that should not be there.

 

If your tranny or thermostat grounds were bad, the engine would neither crank nor run.

 

well i got the engine ground ....dont see a ground on the tranny .....an i dont know where the thermo is......the engine is working and drive @ RonJ@HT
