odometer no work pls help

Default odometer no work pls help

only my temp and fuel gauge works.
how to find if my tach/speed meter works?

i wouldnt be so concerned with your odo not working.........its so jdm it will never age..... jk bro. did you check any fuses?

make sure your speedometer cable is hook up properly inside the speed sensor...!!!

Well for starters make sure its plugged in lol, and the easiest way to check it is to grab one off a buddies car and swap them to see if it works. Also check your connections on the back of the cluster, just to rule that out.

How long have you had this problem? Were they working fine before? What work was done in the engine bay and/or the dashboard before they stopped working?

i got the car like this.finally pulled out the dash, tested the gauge according to the manual (good). when i took out the gauge,cable was not connected, clip is missing, start the car observe the cable NOT turning.
any ideas? what should i do next?

cable suppose to turn Behind the gauge when engine is on correct? The clip is missing can it still work? Any solution? Tnx

You need both retaining clips or it won't work. It's a plastic one on the speedo side, and a little metal one on the tranny side.

It won't rotate unless the car is moving.

Call Acura, find a da in a wrecking yard, or find someone on craigslist who's parting a da.

Converting to electronic vss requires the sensor and a new cluster, plus custom wiring.

hahaha that make sense, sorry i was thinking my tachometer because it also not working.

The tach is electronically controlled with a signal from the distributor. If the previous owner left the speedo cable out, I wouldn't be surprised if the messed up something else behind the cluster.
