Default need the answer once and for all!!!

quick question guys i been looking and looking but i need an answer...
stock bottom end b16..... type r head complete....
b16 tranny clutch flywheel ect.ect.
will running open header on race day gain any hp? gain anything? i know there is more wear and tear on the motor but i only want to make 1-2 passes open header to see if my times increase.......
just wondering if anyone has a dyno comparison is running open header worth it! thanks! or even no muffler and just run axle back

w/o a tune, you are only dropping weight (if you remove the exhaust completely)

you are opening it up way more than the ecm is used to. if you have the means to tune it, you will see a difference. allbeit a small one, but it will be different. audibly? it will be fast as hell.

cool thanks. and i wasnt planning on dropping the whole exhaust just taking the test pipe out and running it like that. the car is tuned on hondata s200 unit. it was tuned for full exhaust. but it isnt a stock ecu. i will try next time. what about no muffler?

if your motor isn't built for it, why would you want to run it to 9000?

2whp is certainly a stretch let alone 5.
