Default Will a 4294 journal bearing turbo spool?

Found a smokin deal on a brand new real garrett 4294 journal bearing turbo. Its on a dsm thats making 850whp and is making 38psi by 6000rpm. My setup is 83mm, 9.7 to 1, gonna be on E85. I dont care about if the turbo will spool on the street. But at the track with antilag and through the gears, will i have a problem using this turbo? The turbo has a 1.01 a/r turbine and a .60 compressor. Ill be using 3" charge pipes and 4" open downpipe. And its on a top mount that will utilize the twin scroll.

Yes it will. My DSM with a 4294 non bb, 1.15a/r showed 25psi at 6143 on 93 octane. I tested mine real low when i had it, at 4k rpms, 5* retard and 10% fuel i think it would make 3-4psi with a 4k rpm 2step.

I have one on my 2.0 GSR build with a top mount Tial housing and it hit 25psi (spring) at 7200. Hope that helps.

Why are you drag racing with an LS Tranny? Ditch that for something drag worthy your going to have to shift at 11k to keep that Gt42 from falling on its face with that gearing.

If you dont want to loose boost between gears then dont let off the gas when you shift, otherwise closing the throttle plate will guarantee the boost is lost...

Im using an ls cause i was outta gear on the b16 tranny. Running through the traps at 10500 rpm in 4th gear. And the car should be making way more power this year. Plus i had an ls in good shape.

Use your B16 1-3 and throw a GSR 4th in there and be done with it, LS's sucks ***** I ran one for YEARS.

Or use your LS Final Drive in your B16 Tranny (pretty sure you can do that)

How are you at 10k+ with B16/ITR Gearing at only 138mph? Were you using 22" slicks? B16/ITR gearing should get you 150mph at 10k with 24.5's... I went through the traps at 8800-8900 at 137mph with a B16 4th and 24.5's

Oh thats right. I was on the 10k limiter at the 1000ft with the 23". Im just gonna have to deal with the tranny issue for now as its the only tranny i have left.
