Default Feed line size for 6765

Just got my precision 6765 I was wondering what size feedline I should be using? My motor is a built Gsr type r oil pump. I just need to know if I have to run a -4 or -3 line. If you guys could help me out that would be great.

Ball bearing or journal? I would run a -4 for journal, and either -3 or -4 for DBB. The new DBB have built in restrictors, nice feature.

I should have mentioned it was a journal bearing. My bad.

Subscribed. I'm trying to sort this type of an issue right now with my 6265.

I run a -4 because precision said so. I personally think a -3 would be better but I run a -4 to make sure I cover my *** if anything happens to the turbo

We run a -4 , its what precision recommends. We also run an inline oil pressure gauge on each setup though to determine what oil pressure at the turbo is.

What is your drain like, and what oil pressure do you have at idle? What is your idle RPM? These seem to be the pertinent questions that determine whether you are a candidate for a bit of oil burning at idle. I'm heading out to the garage in a few minutes to upgrade my drain.

I guess I'll run a -4 so it covers my *** too

Without a restrictor. If you have oil passing by the control rings or smoking, use a -3 line.

In that case you wouldn't have any concerns about oil starvation on the bearings?

Nope. If you have oil leaking then you have too much pressure/volume. The -3 line would reduce it enough and still be safe.

Alright, thanks!

I'm massively upgrading my drain today, so if I still have issues, I may just go that route next.
