Help with a hunting idle
have a b18c in my ef8 and have converted to odb1 harness.
my car has hunting idle from up to about 4k on the rev counter. it effects driving as it feels like the throttle butterfly get stuck or like theres slack in the cable itself and then it all of a sudden catches and goes again.
i have got the throttle cable tightened proberly, have cleaned the throttle body out, also have cleaned the IACV , i also checked my TPS and the closed reading was 0.47 and open was 4.7 , also cleaned put my FITV also checked all the vaccum lines and they seem to be fine. haave bleed all the air outta the cooling system, also replaced the IACV with my one off the b16a which was working. anything im missing??

replaced the throttle body gasket. havnt replaced the intake manifold tho. i done the tests off this page http://ef-honda.com/ben/Badidle.php and the bit where it said to test the fitv and ivac, the car does bog itself right down (nearly killing it) thought that means no vaccum leak?
Essentially you have a vacuum leak some where. Follow this procedure:

I cleaned my iacv as well but it still turned out to be the culprit (to be confirmed when I get a new one in). Regardless, this is the most comprehensive procedure I have found to locate idling issues. Good luck.

tps could be out of adjustment. It should read 1 volt when the throttle body is close and 5 volts when wide open. Check it with a voltmeter.
