i just got my exhaust done but havent got my wastegate tied into my exhaust yet. but when the car was running i could feel exhaust coming out of my wastegate at idle and more came out when reved it. schould there be any exhaust coming out of the waste gate when its not under boost. i waste gate fine or need a new one.

 

if its a tial, did you install the fire ring upside down? its a small ring that goes around the valve of the WG, and goes between the WG flange and gasket on the manifold.

 

what specific wastegate do you have? brand? size? sounds like the fire ring/valve seat is missing

 

im prety sure its a tial didnt know about the fire ring. is it one of the flanges that it came with

the valve seat is missing or installed incorrectly.


or the WG is busted. heh

 

its a metal ring that goes on the bottom of the wg
