Default Got my timing fixed. Now my car is extremely slow / laggy

So my timing has been off for a while n I didn't know on my Jdm d15b vtec. Just got the timing set perfect today and it idles so much smoother but when I we t to drive it it's soo much slower it has no power in low Rpm s. Almost not drivable it's so laggy. I am on a tuned single cam map because that ran my car good before when the timing was off but dou think that's what is making it so slow? It's making a wierd burning type if smell too and I see a light smoke rising from behind the intake manifold. I got that sometimes before but I thought maybe some oil was on my headers and that's what the smoke was from. I'm also throwing a code for my tps the past two weeks n I can't figure out the problem we changed it and set it to the right spot cuz I had it unplugged or else it idled like ****. But now the light won't turn off with it plugged in. So I'm thinken I just need to reflash my Ecu and get a different map on it?

It feels like I lost half my power

any ideas?!

But the smoke comes when the car is out. It's super light u almost cNt see it but it's there. And a wierd smell. But it also makes a faint noise with the car off after it was running like a pumping noise. I can't tell where it's coming from tho

i would safely assume ur timing is outta wack, get a timing light and see, if not make sure everything else like
sensors and stuff is right and connected w.o interferance

is it true that when a check engine light is on the ecu already changes the timing?? now with a stock *** map its running superrr rich i dont understand...i dont see why this stupid single cam cant just run itself correctly. it was straight healthy from japan low miles and everything ...

but its throwing a tps and i dont see why the sensor is good and everything but my mechanic said we shouldnt keep messing with maps we need to fix the tps because whenever any engine light is on it messes with the timing to run safely or something
