Default jrsc b18c build looking for updated info .....

i have a b18 out of my 2000 gsr, it had suffered a spun rod bearing. that being said ive been collecting parts to do a build .

so far i have

salvageable block- anyone know of a rep machine shop in south broward fla ?
stock 30k mile gsr head
new eagle crank
new eagle rods
jrsc kit aquired

im not sure what brand pistons to go with or C/R at the moment...

what im looking to do is build a dd-jrsc motor. (yes ive been reading new and old threads) but looking for up to date info and suggestions on this build
i drive aprox 40 miles a day in this car pluse my week end run around. my average cruseing speed is 80mph . im not really looking for a race car but id like to have a ballzy car thus thge reason i grabbed up the super charger.

any thoughts would be nice
and machine shop in south broward to clean this block up and make her ready for build would be nice, i have indeed thought about sleeves as well

thanks again...

throw the ls bottom end in it! the JRSC will work great with the added torque just double check your compression, from what ive read, 10.5-10.8 compression is usually the sweet spot for the JRCS, ive also heard of the b16 ex. cam trick but have never seen any real facts about it, i do know that the most common power combo is with a gsr intake and type r ex cam tweaked with a set of cam gears. the highest psi recomended with no intercooling is 9. good luck

just got my eagle crank out and did a look over and its weight sits about 5.5lbs lighter !
a few pics of the gsr crank (rip) spun bearing and its replacement im going 89mm instead of 95mm i figured a little push for the better tourque pluse i had this already as well as the 95mm i figured id stay mild as far as a stroke. it is a bit over kill to go eagle but i figured do it now while its apart and i can go upgrade crazy later if i choose with a strong bottom. more to come later...

can find pic in my profile page....dont know why they didnt load???

ok so i got a few things together, picked up a complete used gsr head assy thats nice and clean for this build. i did get to save a bit of coin on this head cus im a ebay snipper lol . supose to be 30k miles with everything included but the valve cover and dist.....nice...

the other two pics show the spot where the rod slap happened due to the spun bearing in the #1 hole of the block. im still looking out for a rept machine shop in broward or dade if anyone wants to speak up for one that do good work on hondas.....

figured id post the pics of the crank since i figured out how to do it, kinda cool i saved a bit of weight 5lbs off the bottom will help a little im sure, was goning to go with the lw verse the fw eagle but i didnt want to be weak just incase of future upgrades. eagle claims 1500hp (over rated im sure) with this crank so.... it (shouldnt) break .
