Sleeved block... Two options... Need opinions
I'm going a little higher compression. Probably 11.5 and probably gonna JRSC... May go 10.5 and boost, but I'm leaning more towards JRSC
Anyway, the two blocks I am looking at are:
Golden Eagle Sleeves
84.5mm
Open deck
Will need to be bored out to 85mm
AEBS Sleeves
84mm
Closed Deck
The eagle comes with GSR Water and ITR Oil pump. And is cheaper.
The AEBS is completely bare and more expensive.
Both are GSR, and both will have the squirters removed for LS internals.
I've searched, and nothing is really definite between these blocks.
My main concern is the AEBS sleeves will overheat on a daily.
Will 85mm be too big for JRSC?
I'll drive this car about 10-12k miles a year... and will hit track on the weekend.
Will both blocks work fine?

do the 84 aebs... and make sure you have a good cooling setup... golden eagle headgasket, fan and shroud combo and it shouldnt overheat... in case of problems down the road you can bore to 84.5... get the smaller of the 2
dont know why it would overheat as long as you have a good cooling setup

It's closed deck and hardly has any holes for coolant.
I can get the eagle block and new eagle rods for less than the AEBS block.
