i was wondering this, if i have a drag/maxrev/revhard mani. and i have my volvo t3 on it and a downpipe that works. will that same downpipe fit something like a t3/to4e? im thinking it wont because its a t4, but am i wrong?

also, if im running that volvo turbo on one of those manifolds what is a good way to seal the place where the external wg goes, allowing the external wg to be used when i upgrade to the bigger turbo.

oh, and one more Q , if i have all my piping setup with the volvo turbo and then get the bigger turbo, what probs will i have with the ic piping?

They share the same downpipe. allthough its a t4 compressor housing the t3 downpipe should work.

they probably (actually, they do) have different bolt patterns. my t3 has a wierd *** exhaust bolt pattern, and now i have to get a flange made and cut the downpipe i just bought

 

some t3 so ahve different bolt patters, the older t3's usually have 4 bolts and the newer one have 5 bolts.

anyone know? its off an 87-89 volvo 740 turbo with intercooler. will the two turbos bolt up to say a maxrev bseries manifold and be able to use the same dp? and what is a good way to block off the wastegate port until one is used with the next turbo?

 

how many bolts are on the stock downpipe?
