did this problem happen right after you put the new plugs in or later, if later what else did you do during that time. if nothing then do you have access to a timing gun check that it takes 2 secs to hook up, if not disconnect your map sensor while car is running and see if there is a change. that should cause it to run rich. if nothing happens and it stays the same let me know

ok if you wanna determine which on to check as it is at idle pull one plug wire at a time and find your problem cylinder. it sounds to me like you have bigger issues a computer wont tell it to run that rich at idle do you have a ckenglght on.

I think you might have blew out your piston rings. pull out your dipstick and see if you can smell gas on the oil.

That may be a tough one. I would go ahead and do a head gasket anyways, start from there. I have only see it once but one of my friends cars blew a head gasket and never lost water or mix with oil. It just ran like ****. I have one in my shop right now that im putting a head on that cracked a valve face that had the same problem your describing.
I hope youre right and the injectors fix it but Im still leaning towards a head problem

head gasket will be blue smoke and smell like antifreeze. rings will be white smoke and smell like gas.

for one stop changing plugs your throwing money down the drain. and do a compression check, also if you have diffrent wires put them on there if there screwed it could cause it not to burn the gas, its a long shot but possable. i think you have bigger problems though

so yeah this WAS an old thread, but im the honda buddy we took the b16 out of that crx it sat in my shed for a few months now its in my hatch untouched from before and runs,no smoke, runs relitivly good for last few weeks now only thing i have noticed....yeah it has a small stutter problem, it has new obd1 dizzy conversion harness and 4 wire o2 and chipped p28 for it, well right at 3k to 4-4.5k it almost feels like its running lean then getting alot of fuel back and forth almost as if clutch was trying to slip but it shouldnt be the clutch, you drive the car easy and when it gets to 3k rpms it sounds like waaaah wah wah waaaah wah wah wah wah and you can feel it losing a small amount of power then it coming back over and over till 4k but if you haul ***, runs like a dream. any thoughts?
