i could be wrong on this but i always thought white smoke, is from a head gasket, like radiator leak maybe? our legend had the same problem when start up, white smoke we replace the head gasket and that fixed the job.... i hope that helps

So by replacing the head gasket should work out than eh. What head gasket would i need for a 96GSR bottom head and a B16 head??

I would do a compression test to be sure that the headgasket is at fault. if that is the case, either a B16 or a GS-R one will work fine because they are the exact same.

I could be mistaken, but it sounds like a fuel issue... a headgasket wouldn't make a car "bog" unless it was completly blown, and it wouldn't just return to normal.. it would bog and get worse until you can't go anywhere.

which one is it? a bit of gray could mean running ok, some white means deposits...running rich maybe?

If the head gasket has blown it can push water into the cumbustion chamber of the cyliner closest to the breech, which "steam cleans" the plug tip. White plugs can indicate a head gasket failure. Run a compression test!
