Default Vechile Speed Sensor!

i was curious to know what problems a v.s.s can cause a car performance wise, i was told thats the reason for my car running badly...my ecu throws a code of 7 blinks and 1 solid. ive asked around and the answer i got was the v.s.s if you can help me out thanks! and yes i searched!!!!!

7 Blinks one solid. Do you mean one long and 7 short. If so you have CEL 17

The V.S.S Will inhibit a VTEC Engine for crossing over and engaging VTEC, because the ECM see from the V.S.S. value that the car is sitting still.

Need a little more info first.

Year and trim level of your car? Engine swap? Mods? Any recent electrical or engine issues?
