Hi i just bought a second hand EG.

The car is a EG CX. Base model and have no power steering.

The car have a B16 engine, but with a GSR tranny, GSR manifold and GSR header.

Came along with the car is a very tinny cat back exhaust and muffler from the stock CX.

Engine comes with the following:
Centerforce clutch
Spoon flywheel
UR crank pully
Type R cams
NGK spark plug wires
Converted to SI rear disc brakes.

Car came in Spoon yellow and painted the engine compartment as well.

What i m changing in these few days are these:

Stock ITR cat back exhaust
RSR header
stright pipe
JG intake manifold
Toda cam gears

Thats all

What kind of power at the wheels i should expect and how fast should my time be?

mid to low 14s?

 

Depends on driver.

Some sites say I should've ran only a 14.7 with 92 CX and B18C1... I ran a 14.5 with just a ghetto intake... and it took me awhile to learn how to drive my car properly.

 

I would toss that Unorthodox Crank Pulley...............

how is it a eg6 cx? if it is a eg6..it is a Si-R. i see u are in japan. and it came with b16a. but the cx throws me off.

also, just say EG... not eg6 it will make you fit in

 

With the gsr tranny and that horrible stock exhaust i doubt you will hit 14s....

 

CX in Tokyo huh ? Must be nice. UR crank pulley in tokyo too ?


** WOW SI disk brakes in Tokyo ?? I thought all of them were 4 wheel disc ? Dayum I guess all of the Germans got the good ones. !

Still u didn't explain how it's an EG6....It should be EG6 SI-R II if in Japan and EG6 SI-R in Europe...

 

I'm also wondering how the gsr intake manifold is on your b16 motor. Unless you got a b18c1 head.

 

it's probably a b16 block with a b18c(gsr) head oh well

 

I m not sure what the previous owner did.

But i m sure the engine b4 was complete a B18C

Then i guess there is something wrong with the engine. So he install the B16A block in there.

So thats why.

But i m changing the intake manifold anyways.

Is a stupid tinny mistake that i m sure every had to go through if the person don't know about honda much.

The car is a EG if every one say it is.

I have to start some where to learn.
Seaiously, i don't care. EG, EG6 whatever. Even if my car isn't a EG6, the previous owner converted to it already.

What i don't understand is, why pick on such little thing when i admit on the reply already and you want to pick on it again?

dude , Gsr manifold on B16 ........ that doesn't sound right .

plus if it is so , that would kinde be a downgrade , since the B16manifold and GSR manifold have a different design and different runners . also the B16 ECU is not programmed for secondary runners so they would never open and air will be constantly traped behind the closed secondary plate .

 

why don't you just DRIVE it to find out how fast it is. it is your car, if you're not making that up as well. it might be more helpful to ask who has the same setup as you and what times they run. your question is impossible to answer accurately. that's like asking us to tell you how dirty your kitchen is.
