B18C into EG CX question.
I want to put a B18C into my car. I have a 1994 Civic CX. I want to know how is the exhaust manifold going to fit on this model and trim. I am concern because the EX,Si models have the cat underneath the car where as the CX and DX models have the cat in the engine bay on top near the motor. So the the middle exhaust pipe underneath the car on the EX,Si models I'm assuming is shorter due to it needs to be shorten for the length of the cat. Anyone know or have pictures? Thank you.

u will be using a b series header that does not have the car right there. You can just use the same cat that comes with your swap (if applicable) or buy one(if applicable depending on your local laws)

I see. Do you know if say I used to stock B18c exhaust and downpipe. Will my existing mid pipe be too short or too long to connect to the stock B18c exhaust downpipe.

Which part are you saying normally needs to be extended? The mid-pipe or the exhaust/downpipe? I can't really put it on and take it to a shop because it would be really loud and most likley I will get pulled over. Maybe towing. On top of that most shops will not even touch a car with no cat. I know, sucks to live here sometime.

lower pipe. "b" pipe. And yes it would be loud for a little bit but it's your decision. Your in cali so Im not sure what the shops will do out there. in texas usually they do whatever you ask.

Get a cat. You can get one on ebay for like $50. You will need to take your car to muffler shop once you finish the swap. There is a header which connects to the cat, then cat to mid-pipe, then mid-pipe to axle back pipe/muffler. You need the mid-pipe extended to reach the cat. When i did my swap I went and got a new cat and aftermarket muffler and have the muffler shop put in 2.25" piping with all the other stuff.
