Default Need Help Identifying Garrett turbo

Hey guys was just givin this turbo by a buddy. Seems to be a damn nice turbo in great shape. Compressor housing is an ar50 and exhaust is an .81 Part number RE59999 and Serial number djm00760. There are other numbers on it that i wrote down but don't think they are important. Just wondering if this is going to be more efficient and maybe get me some more hp's. Current turbo is a garret knock off 50 57 63. Currently at 25psi 347 whp on a d15b

Its a diesel turbo, it will not be a good turbo for you single cam application. Diesel turbos tend to have small comp wheels and huge turbine wheels because of the amount of exhaust flow a diesel makes.

If you want to upgrade from your chinese turbo then do it the right way not just with some turbo you got from a friend. a 57 trim with a .63 hotside would work very nicely on a D. also some garrett BBR options and many other things as well.
