I can't for the life of me get my car to idle smooth at 1000rpm and anything leaner than 12.5:1 afr... are there any tricks?
setup in sig, Precision 1000cc, 255ph pump, stock fuel system tuned on neptune RTP

It will depend on your setup and the injectors just how cleanly you can get them to idle. You can optionally get an injector driver box which will make them able to handle the low duty cycles at idle much better.
Also make sure you've set your battery compensation tables properly.
Nice setup btw.

Then the injector driver box is your best bet, more than likely. Here's a very popular unit that has had really good feedback.

Get some high impedance 1000cc ID injectors & call it a day:

Getting the IDs or getting this will work just fine. If you do a search on google, there's plenty of places that have the FJO device. One of which is HorsePowerFreaks.com
You will need some adjustments to the tune, but the higher duty cycle stuff should be decently close.

Thanks for your help guys, I have an FJO driver on it's way (the new generation with way less wires).

One last question... Does this wire in place of my "factory" resistor box, or do I need to keep it?

I would do things right the first time and just use the ID1000's. You would be putting the FJO money towards them and also be removing the factory resistor box. Dont pay good money twice. Idle will be better with less parts and less headache.
Sell the resistor box and current 1000cc injectors and add that money to what you were going to spend on the FJO and you have more than enough to get the ID1000's and simplify your setup.

or depending on your hp level, you could just turn up the pressure on your regulator if your fuel pump will handle/allow it and run the ID1000's with more pressure. They can handle higher pressures, but you will need to completely retune the fuel if you do.

won't i have to retune anyway?
Maybe not. It may be very close after entering the dead times in the battery comp table. I have never had the chance to swap out like size injectors for tuning. Normally, its an upsize and requires re-mapping regardless.
