First off, this is not my username, im using my next door neighbors computer and name to get some info. I'd appriciate it if you'd help me out.

My neighbor has a Built b18 and a h22 and i like his cars but cost a little too much, hes going to help me out with some of his extra parts from old motors.

i have a d16z6 and i want to turbo it, he's going to tune it for me ( he tunes on hondata ) Anyways i need to know what else i need to get before i ask him to start putting it together

I have:
Vitara pistons + Eagle rods
Arp Studs + ACL Race bearings.
( 90% of a turbo kit Hes giving me the rest of it )
Chipped and Dataport'd ECU

I wanted to get a CAM but i dont want to replace valves, springs wouldnt be hard to replace so if u got any suggestions please let me know along with what else i may need

He said if i want to run over 10 PSI i need a new map is that true? if so what kind. Pm me i'll check it tomorrow afternoon. Thanks.

 

yes if u boost over ten u will need a 3 bar map sensor they run about 80-90$ brand new

 

You can find new Motorola MAP sensors for like $25 shipped on eBay, and probably less elsewhere. Or GM 3 BAR MAP sensors are fairly cheap.
