I just bought another CRX, this is my 5th one. I love these cars! I just got an 88 crx dx automatic. it has a d15b2 block and a P08-5 head which I guess is from a d16z6. Supposedly has a stage one cam in it. It has an adjustable cam gear and DC Sport headers. It needs a throttlebody and a fuel line from filter to rail and cap. The ecu that is in it is a ps9. Is this ecu going to work for the VTEC and also how do I hook up the VTEC to the ecu? It has already been converted to MPFI. Thanks for the help.

 

well a ps9 does not have vtec unless you chip it for vtec

 

So would I come out better getting it chipped for the VTEC, or should I just try to find a P28?

 

p28 is obd1, ps9 is obd0, make up your mind on if you want to go through the troubles to convert to obd1, or if you just want to chip the ps9 for vtec.
